Music videos & Live Concert by LLEE TOTO
The program combines music videos of cologne-based artist as well as legendary songs, that have influenced queer pop culture. They show experimental approaches to the genre of music videos. Afterwards live performance by Safe Space Record’s soft contemporary pop sweetie, musician LLEE TOTO. “Can’t you feel I’m soft” is the opening line of her second release single. LLEE TOTO pours physical and emotional vulnerability into her work by exploring music as a tool for healing rather than entertainment.
The music video selection is a cooperation with music video expert and curator Jessica Manstetten.
Embellishments (2016, 16 mm, 7’50, D: Benjamin Ramírez Pérez)
Reenactments of cinematic strategies, images and fantasies tied to sexwork and stage performance are layered on top of each other. They intertwine and form a new entity in a female drag performance (Performance by Liad Hussein Kantorowicz) – referencing 1970s cinema, sexwork-activism and pop choreography.

This is Safe Space Record’s soft contemporary pop sweetie LLEE TOTO and her second single release. When diving into the depths of “2100“ you‘ll explore a feeling of softness through the warm bass, ambient synths, and whispering vocals. “Can‘t you feel I‘m soft, hurting me was love“ – the song starts with its core theme – vulnerability. Throughout the track, LLEE TOTO raises questions of what impact over intention means, dealing with the ambivalence of intentions.
